An Electrician plans, assembles, installs, commissions, tests, maintains, services and operates electrical systems and equipment. Electricians either work on residential and commercial construction projects or in industrial facilities such as pulp mills, hydroelectric dams, and mining and smelting operations. An electrician needs a good understanding of applications of electricity, and must ensure that building codes and other safety requirements are followed.
Industrial / Construction Electrician Level Exam Training
The term of apprenticeship for an Industrial/ Construction electrician is four years that includes on-the-job training and technical training. Out of these 4 levels , level 1 , 2 and 3 of Industrial apprenticeship are challengeable in BC and upto 3 out of the 4 levels of Construction Electrician are challengeable in AB. We offer 40-hour refresher courses to help them prepare for successfully challenging various level exams.
Electrical Inter-Provincial Red Seal Training
Once electricians have worked in their field for a requisite number of hours ,he/she may wish to write the provincially administered exam for Electrical IP Red Seal , which will qualify him/her to work anywhere in Canada at a Journeyman wage.We offer 40-hour refresher course to help them prepare for successfully challenging Inter-Provincial Red Seal examination.
