An Electrician plans, assembles, installs, commissions, tests, maintains, services and operates electrical systems and equipment. Electricians either work on residential and commercial construction projects or in industrial facilities such as pulp mills, hydroelectric dams, and mining and smelting operations. An electrician needs a good understanding of applications of electricity, and must ensure that building codes and other safety requirements are followed.
Electrical ( Construction / Industrial ) Apprenticeship Level 1-4 Challenge Exam Refresher Course
The term of apprenticeship for an electrician ( Construction or Industrial ) is four years (four 12 month periods) that includes on-the-job training and technical training. Out of these 4 levels , some levels of apprenticeship may or may not be challenge-able, depending on the province. We offer 4o hour refresher courses to prepare for challenge level exams.
Electrical ( Construction/ Industrial) Inter-Provincial Red Seal Training
Once electricians have worked in their field for a requisite number of hours ,he/she may wish to write the provincially administered exam for Electrical IP ( Construction / Industrial ) Red Seal , which will qualify him/her to work anywhere in Canada at a Journeyman wage.We offer 40-hour refresher course to help them prepare for successfully challenging Inter-Provincial Red Seal examination.Information pertaining to the eligibility requirements for challenging level exams or Inter-Provincial (IP) Red Seal exam can be found by calling local apprenticeship board office in the province or territory where the candidate resides.
